With these new visuals for one of the standout tracks — “Little Lady” — on their self-titled project, The A.S.A. Project is surely living up to the “Always Something Awesome” name. The A.S.A. Project has categorized themselves as “alternative hip-hop” and that is understandable with their use of elements from pop, EDM, dance, and other genres while still keeping it hip-hop.
“Little Lady” is a breath of fresh air. It’s a fun loving song, reminiscent of Blink 182 and Gym Class Heroes in the mid-2000s with a Chicago twist (as Spazz said: “So Lennon, So Yoko. Some other love, that’s a no-no. This a product of the ‘Go though, have it spread out to the world though.”). Judging by the playfully catchy melodies, Reelo and Spazz clearly had fun making this track. And the video seemed to be even more of a fun experience, as the group played the role of a garage band throughout — even though the production of this track is far superior to the quality one would expect from a garage band.
